WORK DUTIES We are looking for a social worker with good knowledge of the school's mission and social issues. Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities is highly valued. As a school counselor, you are part of the school's student health team. In the student health team, you are responsible, together with other professional groups, for selecting interventions and methods for students based on questions raised by educators or other staff. The school counselor also actively participates in the school's systematic quality work with particular focus on matters of safety, well-being, harassment, and discrimination. The work includes guiding educators in psychosocial matters concerning students and holding counseling sessions with students. It also includes conducting courses for students, such as Life Skills. The work as a school counselor also includes collaboration with other community resources (social services, psychiatry, rehabilitation, recreation, police, etc.) We are looking for an outward-facing person with good pedagogical ability and strong leadership qualities. Teamwork and team development are important parts of the work, which is why good collaboration skills are a requirement. Great consideration will be given to personal suitability. The position is between 60-100%. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a counselor with a degree in social work and with experience working with teenagers ages 15-19. Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities is highly valued. Your ability to listen to the needs of both students and staff, so that we can provide young people with what they need, is of utmost importance. We also place great emphasis on collaboration skills since the position involves extensive collaboration with other staff at the school. Having experience and knowledge of the resources available outside the school for young people is of great importance. Since a criminal record check is a statutory requirement, such a check must be provided for anyone who may be relevant for the position.
