School Librarian at Nakterhusskolan We're now seeking a school librarian at Nakterhusskolan who is passionate about promoting reading! Here you'll have the opportunity to build up the school library's operations from the ground up together with school leadership. In Haninge Municipality, libraries work in the Quria library system. Your work will initially consist of digitalizing the school library and its current media collections, then building up a pedagogical school library operation. You will work closely with the municipality's school library coordinator, especially in the beginning. You will be part of a work team at the school and in the central school library network, where we maintain close contact and meet several times per term for network meetings. We're looking for someone who: - Is passionate about working as a school librarian - Takes initiative and wants to collaborate with teachers and after-school staff - Inspires students' love of reading and builds relationships - Has strong digital competence Job Responsibilities: - Manage the school's library and handle the lending system at school - Promote reading through various activities and projects such as read-alouds, book discussions, book clubs, reading projects, and book talks - Strengthen students' media and information literacy, for example through teaching source criticism and social media awareness, particularly for middle school students - Manage the school library's collection and make media purchases that contribute to students' love of reading QUALIFICATIONS - Education in Library and Information Science or equivalent. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working as a school librarian and have worked in the Quria lending system.
