Fiskarhedens Trävaru AB is one of Sweden's largest and most modern privately-owned sawmills. We are located just a stone's throw from the Vasaloppet start in Transtrand, in the heart of Dalarna. With around 160 dedicated employees, we are the largest industrial company in Malung-Sälen municipality. Each year we produce over 380,000 cubic meters of pine and spruce timber, with more than 80% exported to customers around the world. WORK TASKS We now need to strengthen our maintenance department with a shift mechanic. With us, you work in a modern industrial environment where new technology and equipment are in focus. You contribute to ensuring stable and efficient operation of our production. The entire facility becomes your workplace, which means varied and developmental work. You work closely with production on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs and become an important part of the team that ensures machines and equipment function optimally. Your main work tasks consist of both preventive and corrective maintenance within mechanics, across the entire facility. The work covers areas such as welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics. This is a permanent full-time position (100%). The work involves continuous 2-shift operation (37 hours/week) according to the following schedule: • Off week • Evening shift • Day shift including weekend work QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Secondary education in mechanics or equivalent experience • Experience with mechanical maintenance in industry or similar operations • Class B driver's license (manual transmission) • Good problem-solving skills and a practical work approach • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Orderliness, sense of service-oriented work • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Meritorious • Experience from sawmills or process industry • Good knowledge in turning, milling, and welding is advantageous.
