About the Position As a shift-based manager, you are the operational leader during your shift with clear responsibility for both production, the work environment, and employees. You lead, allocate, and follow up on work in real-time and ensure that operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and according to plan. You have a central role in managing changes, solving problems, and creating structure in a dynamic environment where the pace can sometimes be high. At the same time, you are a present leader who builds trust and creates good conditions for the team to perform together. You report to the Stevedoring Area Manager and work closely with both employees, safety representatives, and other functions in the operation. Examples of Responsibilities: • Lead, allocate, and follow up on daily work during the shift • Ensure that production is carried out according to plan, customer requirements, and agreements • Make decisions in case of operational disruptions and changed conditions • Ensure correct staffing and efficient resource utilization • Ensure that work environment and safety regulations are complied with • Be a role model in safety culture and stop work in case of risk • Follow up, report, and manage near-misses, deviations, and accidents • Conduct employee discussions and work closely with individuals and groups • Follow up on absenteeism and drive rehabilitation matters in cooperation with HR • Ensure good handover between shifts • Follow up on and work with KPIs linked to the shift's performance This is a permanent position based in Oxelösund. The role is shift-based and involves work during day, evening, night, and weekends. About You We are looking for someone who is a confident and clear leader with the ability to make decisions even when the pace is high and conditions change. You thrive in an operational role where you are close to the operation and your employees. You have experience in supervisory work in a production-related environment and are used to combining structure, responsibility, and flexibility in your leadership. To succeed in this role, we would like you to: • Have experience in supervisory work within industry, logistics, port operations, or similar activities • Have worked with personnel responsibility at an operational level • Have good knowledge of work environment and safety matters • Have experience with collective agreement-regulated operations • Have basic IT skills in, for example, reporting and planning systems • Speak and write Swedish fluently • Have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written • Hold a B-level driving license • Have approved high school grades in Swedish, English, and Mathematics It is a plus if you have experience from port operations or stevedoring, leadership training, and technical understanding of machinery and equipment. As a person, you are present, communicative, and unpretentious. You are attentive but clear, and have the ability to handle both everyday matters and more challenging conversations with integrity and good judgment.
