JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for you who want to make a difference every day! At Skanör School, we work together to create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment for all our students. We are now seeking an engaged and certified teacher of English and Swedish for an extended substitute position with the possibility of extension. As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in accordance with the applicable curriculum. You teach students in Swedish and English and work purposefully to promote their knowledge development and desire to learn. You are part of a work team where collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. Together with colleagues, subject groups, and the student welfare team, you contribute to developing instruction and creating good conditions for each student. In collaboration with other teachers, you are responsible for students' knowledge development and for advancing the pedagogical work toward established goals. The role also includes mentoring, supporting, and challenging students in their individual learning processes. Mentorship, parent contact, and active participation in the school's collaborative development work are integral parts of the assignment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with authorization to teach English and Swedish. It is meritorious if you have previous teaching experience. As a person, you take independent responsibility for your tasks, in both favorable and challenging circumstances, and actively contribute to the collective result. You are solution-oriented, willing to make decisions, and have the ability to see opportunities. You take responsibility for your actions, learn from experience, and work in a structured manner with good ability to meet established timelines. You have a high degree of sense of responsibility and work in accordance with the school's governing documents. You are well versed in these and plan, implement, and follow up on your instruction based on them. You easily adapt your work approach to changed circumstances and collaborate smoothly and unpretentiously with others. You have a good ability to create and develop relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You contribute to collegial learning by sharing your knowledge, being receptive to others' ideas, and actively working in team settings. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, and adapt your communication based on the recipient. You ensure your message gets across by being clear, listening actively, and asking clarifying questions. Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
