Healthcare Provider/Second Cook for Training Ship T/S Gunilla Are you a healthcare provider who is passionate about cooking and wants to combine these skills at sea? Then we have the perfect position to offer you! About the Position As Second Cook, you will work closely with our Head Cook and be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for 55 hungry seafarers around the clock. You will often have two trainees to assist you, whom you are expected to lead and support in their work. You will primarily work in the role of Second Cook. As a Healthcare Provider, you are responsible for providing care to the crew onboard. The work involves handling everything from minor ailments to more serious medical conditions, far from home. You need to be confident in your healthcare role and be able to take responsibility and make decisions independently. We are looking for someone who: Has strong commitment to young people and wants to be part of developing our operations Is stable, attentive, and enjoys working in a team Has good leadership skills and can mentor trainees in cooking and work tasks Has experience working in healthcare Requirements: Medical Certificate for Seafarers Basic Safety Healthcare Education Experience in professional cooking Meritorious: Medical Care Certificate Ship's Cook Certificate What We Offer: The position is permanent with a 6-month probationary period Relief system 1:1 Contract and salary according to Swedish collective agreements A unique workplace with the opportunity to develop both as a cook and healthcare provider at sea We handle applications on a rolling basis and can fill the position when we find the right person – so submit your application right away.
