The Elderly Care Sector in Kils Municipality is responsible for elder care. The sector is also responsible for delivering all municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, memory team, day activities, and family support. Nurses at residential care facilities and short-term care are based at our new Grinnemo facility. Nurses in home health care are based in Kils town center, where we have our shared offices and visit patients in ordinary homes on foot, by bike, or in the municipality's vehicles. The nursing team is part of the Health, Care and Services unit, which also includes municipal rehabilitation, benefits administrators, memory team, and family support staff. Duties As a nurse in municipal home health care, your main responsibilities are to provide health and medical care services for patients. You will perform independent assessments, medical treatments, and nursing interventions for patients. Daily work also includes preventive work to maintain health and well-being. Work in home health care requires great flexibility in the daily planning structure. Patients' health and well-being fluctuate and change quickly at times, and prioritization becomes very important for daily work and today's work plan may need to be quickly restructured. You are comfortable planning and working independently but have a great ability to collaborate within the team and across professions. You can see solutions when obstacles arise. No two days are the same, but with good collaboration throughout the nursing team, we succeed together in our mission to provide health and medical care services to the citizens of Kils Municipality we serve. The position also includes delegating and training care and nursing staff in health and medical care services as well as providing professional support to patients and family members. Our working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends (4 evenings per 12 weeks and every 6th weekend). Qualifications You are a licensed nurse. It is meritorious if you have completed further education with specialization as a district nurse or care for the elderly and have experience from home health care.
