About the Department The Palliative Care Unit is part of the Palliative Clinic and provides specialized palliative care at Falun Hospital. We have 8 care beds and admit patients from across Dalarna. Teamwork is central and all professional groups contribute to quality care. For us, it is important to care for patients, their families, and each other with professionalism, compassion, and respect. With a holistic view of the person, our goal is to create security and good quality of life for the patient and their loved ones through high availability, involvement, and continuity. Duties We are now seeking a registered nurse for our Palliative Care Unit. Care is focused on patients with severe symptoms who are in their final stages of life. Our ambition is to make the disease experience as positive as possible for the patient and their loved ones. We care for patients with varying diagnoses and advanced symptoms. Standard nursing duties involving a combination of medical technology and quality care. Some of our patients have, for example, central lines, drainage, and receive medication treatment via pump. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to challenges. Caring for seriously ill patients and their families requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role. Qualifications You are a registered nurse with an interest in palliative care. It is important that you are empathetic and have good communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your understanding of different social and cultural contexts. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
