The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized involuntary care for youth and adults with substance abuse issues. We provide this service at youth care homes and adult care facilities throughout the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Care Home Fagared receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse issues. We have units in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg. Job Description Take the opportunity to try an interesting job as an hourly treatment assistant at SiS Youth Care Home Fagared! The goal of the position as an hourly treatment assistant at Fagared is to motivate our youth toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you help ensure that the unit's routines function as they should. You play a major role in stability and security for our youth and form the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. You help ensure that security at the institution is maintained according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and help ensure that our youth receive the security and safety they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Working hours follow a schedule of day - evening and weekend or night, weekdays and weekends. As an hourly employee at SiS, you will undergo adapted introductory training to prepare you for your assignment. Qualifications Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: Completed approved upper secondary education At least 2 years of post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, sociopedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example within psychiatry, residential care, or health and social care. Category B driver's license Good Swedish in speech and writing *Exceptions to the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
