SiS LVM-Home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest environment just outside Mariannelund, admits men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse problems. We have specialized expertise in receiving clients with mental health issues or disruptive behavior. We are mandated to provide care for clients with special care needs. Job Description Do you want to help create vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people/clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that department routines function properly. You play a major role in stability and security for our clients, and are responsible for the basics of daily life such as cleaning and cooking. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure our clients receive the security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Work hours follow a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. Qualifications Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need a strong ability to create engagement and involvement. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of people, great empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and willingly share your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area. Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example within psychiatry, HVB activities, or care and support.
