We are seeking two section managers for our two newly established sections Identity & Security and Platform within the Centre for Information Technology and Medical Technology (CIMT). At CIMT, we have approximately 300 employees and are represented at the county's three hospitals - in Lycksele, Skellefteå, and Umeå. We provide all types of technology to support the entire region and, in collaboration with other operations, we contribute to the digitalization of healthcare. As section manager for Identity and Security, you are responsible for the region's IT security function, the area of identity and access management (IAM), network infrastructure, and telephone and alarm platforms. You have 21 direct reports who primarily work with the region's IT security solutions, identity and authorization solutions, networks, as well as telephone and alarm systems. As section manager for Platform, you are responsible for the region's infrastructure platforms as well as the client platform. You have 23 direct reports who primarily work with infrastructure, systems, and platform operations. The section is also responsible for the region's storage and virtualization platform as well as our client platform. As a manager at Region Västerbotten, you have an important mission for both employees and residents of the county. To support you in your leadership, we offer support and guidance in line with our evidence-based leadership philosophy. This can range from clear frameworks and smart tools to development at the group and individual level. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As section manager with us, you see the whole picture and potential, and you take us forward boldly. You will be part of driving extensive change initiatives to meet the future of healthcare. As section manager, you work to ensure that employees have the necessary knowledge and the right tools. You contribute with technical guidance and feedback, and ensure that employees participate in and follow relevant standards. You actively work to coach, develop, and support employees and colleagues, and contribute to the section's, department's, and base unit's development. In your role as section manager, you are responsible for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances within established frameworks. You will lead, develop, and monitor operations based on quality management and process management. You are part of a local management group for the department and are an important colleague in that forum as well. As section manager, you work closely with the region's operations and suppliers. Budget responsibility is included in the position. QUALIFICATIONS You have higher education in computer science, systems science, or behavioral science with a focus on IT environments/management, or alternatively other relevant education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. You also have formal education/a course within the ITIL framework. If you are applying for the Identity and Security section, we want you to have experience working within IT security or network infrastructure, or alternatively experience from IT architecture or several years of experience in systems development. If you are applying for the Platform section, we want you to have experience working within IT infrastructure or IT architecture, or alternatively several years of experience in systems development. Most importantly, however, is that you are the right person and want to lead and move the operations forward. We highly value your ability to drive change, and through this, combined with your communication skills, create an open, creative, and safe place for your organization to operate in.
