We ensure that operations function by delivering high-quality service every day. Our local services staff play a crucial role in both the care environment and patient experience. Through professional local services, we help prevent the spread of infection and preserve the value of Region Västerbotten's properties. All our local services are performed according to clear guidelines and with a strong focus on quality. Our vision is clear—to be healthcare's best service partner. Internal Services is undergoing major change where, together with Service Center, we will form a new base unit in autumn 2026. As section manager for local services, your task is to contribute to the change process and primarily create a safe environment for your employees. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As section manager with us, you see the big picture and potential and take us forward boldly. You act as a role model and work purposefully to create shared visions and unleash action in the operation. By challenging, developing, and highlighting employees, you contribute to a sustainable and professional work culture. You take responsibility for your operation within the scope of given authority and represent the employer by leading and directing toward decided goals for the Region's benefit. In the role, you are offered an assignment with great variety and broad points of contact. You lead and distribute work within the local services section and are responsible for personnel, work environment, and the administration that comes with the assignment. You lead a team of approximately 30 employees and ensure good conditions for their work and development. Since your employees work with local services, it is important that you are physically available; opportunities to work remotely are therefore limited. As section manager, you contribute together with other section managers to developing, quality-assuring, and advancing the operation in line with our goals in collaboration with your supervising department head. Through present and structured leadership, you build well-functioning teams, make use of expertise, and promote an efficient and professional operation. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant university education or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. To succeed in the role, you need to have experience working as a manager. We would prefer that you have experience as a manager within a service-oriented operation where you have led employees with a customer-oriented mission. As section manager at Internal Services, you need to enjoy leading and working close to your employees. You become part of a team where we work together for the operation's and employees' development. To succeed in the role, you are structured and organized, with the ability to prioritize even when the pace is high. You have a clear focus on order where you create system and organization in both documentation and working methods. You have good initiative and are happy to take a bold approach to drive work forward. You show trust in others and promote good relationships by acting considerate and trust-building in collaboration. You have good communication skills and can express yourself fluently. We would appreciate it if you have an interest in digital solutions and good ability to use digital tools to support planning, communication, documentation, and reporting. You have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good knowledge of English in speech and writing, and master the Office package well. Employment form: Permanent employment. The role as manager at Region Västerbotten is a fixed-term assignment typically lasting 4 years, combined with permanent employment within your area of expertise.
