The Swedish Maritime Administration is an agency that contributes daily to a safe, efficient, and sustainable Swedish transport system. The Archives and Records Management Section is part of the Legal Department at the Swedish Maritime Administration and currently consists of eleven people – archivists, archive assistants, and records managers – who together are responsible for the Swedish Maritime Administration's information and case management. The archive also serves our sister agency LFV through an agreement between the agencies. The section works strategically to develop and improve processes, governing documents, procedures, and methods concerning the Swedish Maritime Administration and LFV's information management. In the more operational work, tasks include registration of public documents, responsibility for the signal protection unit (cryptography management), disclosure of public documents, administration of security clearances, and organization and indexing work. In addition to overall responsibility for the governing and operational work, including personnel responsibility, the position also involves operational work. Who are you? We are looking for someone with academic qualifications, or other education that the Swedish Maritime Administration considers equivalent, in areas such as law, archives and information science, or similar, and who has a background as an archivist, lawyer, or records manager. You have experience working with information management at both strategic and operational levels and have worked for at least three years within archives, records management, or other activities that the Swedish Maritime Administration considers equivalent. You have a strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have previous managerial experience and government experience with archives and records management or equivalent activities. Experience with crisis management and security protection is also advantageous. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are a good educator and you lead through communicative, coaching, and trust-based management that gives employees the opportunity for participation, engagement, and responsibility. You have high integrity and are accustomed to handling sensitive tasks in a professional manner. You are clear, confident, and unpretentious in your leadership role with great humility, you work in a structured manner but can adapt to changing circumstances, and you have strong collaboration skills.
