Do you want to be part of developing regulations and positions that form the foundation for a radiation-safe society? At the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, we work on issues that are of great importance for protecting people's health and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. We are seeking a coordinator who wants to contribute to the agency's work within the legislative chain and regulatory development. You will be organizationally placed in the National Standardization unit, which is responsible for the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority's regulatory and policy development. The placement location is Gothenburg, Katrineholm, or Solna. About the role As a coordinator for regulatory development, you will work with analyzing, coordinating, and developing materials for the agency's regulations and positions. You will have a central role in the agency's consultation management and contribute to ensuring that consultation responses and regulations maintain high quality. The work involves analyzing extensive and complex materials, such as government investigations, while collaborating broadly within the agency to gather, anchor, and quality-assure various perspectives. Your tasks include: coordinating and quality-assuring the agency's consultation management developing, preparing, and presenting consultation responses to the government and other agencies driving the development and revision of regulations, general advice, and guidance documents analyzing the need for changes in existing regulations and new regulatory areas. You will have many contact points and collaborate closely with experts and managers from different parts of the agency. The role offers great variety and opportunities to develop within both coordination and regulatory development. About you We are looking for someone who has: a university or college degree in a relevant area for the position experience handling and submitting consultations or communications to the Government Offices or other agencies experience leading working groups, coordinating assignments, or driving projects very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. It is a merit if you have experience in: working in the Government Offices regulatory work or other regulatory development regulation within the radiation safety field working in knowledge-intensive organizations with high technical or natural science competence. To succeed in this role, you need very good collaboration skills and the ability to build trusting relationships in an organization with many specialist competencies. You work structurally and independently, have good analytical ability, and can handle complex information effectively. You are communicative, receptive, and can adapt your message to different audiences and contexts. The role also requires flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to prioritize when multiple issues need to be handled simultaneously. About the employment The position is permanent with a start date by agreement. The employment may begin with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as an investigator. Because we strongly believe in collaboration between colleagues, we want you to work from the office for the majority of your time, but you also have the opportunity to work from home part of the time. Travel on business occurs. You may be included in the agency's crisis organization and may also be placed for war preparedness at the agency. The crisis organization performs radiation protection assessments and nuclear technical analyses and collaborates with other relevant actors to handle radiological emergency situations during heightened preparedness. An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with record check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision.
