Together we build a safe and attractive Alvesta – for residents, businesses, and visitors. Hjortsbergaskolan is an F-6 school (preschool through sixth grade) with after-school care. Hjortsbergaskolan is located in Hjortsberga village, approximately 10 km from Alvesta town center. We're close to the lake and our catchment area is Hjortsberga village and surrounding hamlets; approximately 85% of students take the school bus. Hjortsbergaskolan wants, in collaboration with guardians, to develop active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a resource pedagogue, you help students who need a little extra support during the school day. This can involve teaching in the classroom, but also during breaks when it can sometimes be difficult for students to participate in break activities. It can also involve some time at the after-school program. At Hjortsbergaskolan you'll work alongside capable colleagues who always support each other. We – students, teachers, after-school staff, student assistants, and principal – are looking for someone who is driven and has broad competence. You care about students and are interested in adapting instruction so it's at an appropriate level. For all of us, it's important that you want close collaboration with us who work at the school. QUALIFICATIONS It's an advantage if you have pedagogical education or are a trained social pedagogue. We want you to be able to communicate with students and meet their needs and circumstances above all. The work includes some documentation and you'll also be in contact with guardians. Previous experience working with children and feeling confident ensuring development toward set goals. We place great importance on personal suitability. We also value that you have good collaboration skills while it's important that you have your own drive. You should be social and have an easy time building good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You should be structured, clear, and able to consistently take your own initiative with a large dose of commitment and flexibility. You see possibilities instead of obstacles. You see it as self-evident to create conditions for all children so they get good development in a stimulating environment. Employment Type: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 3-6 months.
