The Principal Role at Our School In this role, you will lead and develop the school with a focus on safety, structure, learning, and positive relationships from a full-day perspective, including all school activities. You will ensure that education is conducted in accordance with current regulations. You will stand firmly in your own mission and have independent overall responsibility for the operations, including approximately 230 students in grades F-6 and approximately 30 employees. In close collaboration with two principals from primary school and two principals from preschool, as well as one unit manager (responsible for the physical work environment), you are expected to actively contribute to establishing and maintaining cooperation structures for the Vallda area. Together, you will create common structures and a shared vision across operational boundaries, which strengthens equity for our students. You will also be part of a larger educational leadership team with other principals and unit managers in Kungsbacka consisting of approximately 60 principals, where experience sharing and mutual development are in focus. The work is characterized by a student perspective that should support 1-16 year-old integration. In your role, you will have good support from functions within student services, finance, HR, and legal affairs. Your Profile In an F–6 operation, student safety, learning, and development are your starting point. You are responsible for the school's quality and work environment by setting direction, creating structure, and following up on results, and you collaborate with other principals for the benefit of students. You make independent decisions and are confident in these, even when they are challenged. Communication is characterized by calm, clarity, and a constructive, forward-focused approach. Of course, you have a relational leadership style, which creates good conditions for development. You express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing, as this is required in daily work. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who: Holds a teaching credential. Has relevant leadership experience, such as lead teacher/middle manager, assistant principal, acting principal, principal, or equivalent. Holds a Class B driver's license for automatic or manual transmission. Meritorious qualifications include: If you have started or completed relevant leadership training, such as the national principal program, I Want to Be a Manager, and/or Developmental Leadership. If you have relevant experience from primary school. If you have previous relevant management or principal experience with full personnel responsibility.
