About the Role As Accounting Manager at SMC AB, you will have a central and operations-focused role with responsibility for the company's finance function. You will work independently with the ongoing accounting while becoming an important driving force in creating structure, streamlining processes, and further developing routines. This is a broad role where you participate in and lead both strategic improvement initiatives and operational tasks. You will work in an organization where collaboration, flexibility, and a lack of pretension are important success factors. The role offers great variety in tasks where you are responsible for everything from qualified accounting matters to ongoing administrative duties that contribute to the business's daily operations. Main Responsibilities Responsible for ongoing accounting Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable Matching packing slips against inventory, with good understanding of inventory management Invoicing and payments Monthly reconciliations and year-end closing work Payroll management (Visma Lön) Responsible for VAT reporting, input VAT, and Intrastat Be the contact person with auditors and external partners Participate in and drive improvement and digitalization projects Structure and develop accounting routines and processes Support operations with administrative matters Participate in ad hoc-related tasks within accounting and general administration Qualifications Several years of experience with accounting in smaller companies Experience of independently managing the entire accounting flow, including ongoing accounting, reconciliations, VAT, taxes, payroll, and year-end closing work Good understanding of inventory management and inventory-related accounting flows, including packing slip matching Experience in building structure in manual environments Meritorious if you have: Experience with Visma Administration 2000 Worked in smaller or entrepreneurially-driven companies Experience digitalizing and streamlining accounting processes Experience with personnel administration and HR-related matters About You To succeed in this role, we see that you are a confident and self-driven person with strong accounting expertise and the ability to take significant personal responsibility.
