Sylvamo Nymölla bruk is located twelve miles east of Kristianstad in Bromölla municipality. The mill produces pulp using the magnesite method and uncoated fine paper. Multicopy is our most well-known product. Production capacity is 340,000 tonnes of pulp and 475,000 tonnes of fine paper. We are now seeking an initiative-taking and collaborative colleague to join our Fiber department at the Pulp Mill. What do we offer you? We offer you a varied workday where you work operatively as a technician and have the opportunity to be driving and/or involved in continuous improvements related to work methods, production and maintenance processes, as well as cost and availability optimization. Fiber encompasses the processes from cooking to pumping of pulp. The main processes are, in turn, cooking, screening and washing, bleaching, and secondary screening. Additionally, the department is responsible for raw water treatment, feed water production, ultrafiltration, dryer, and pumping of pulp to the paper mill. Operations shall be conducted with minimal impact on our surroundings and, not least, with a strong focus on safety for employees and the facility. In this role, you will also be involved in projects to optimize production, quality, environment, and costs. About the position In your daily work as a technician, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing operations within Fiber, primarily the Bleaching and Paper Salt sections. You will also: Conduct monitoring of daily operations Participate in prioritizing maintenance and improvement initiatives within the department Ensure that information and collaboration function optimally As a production technician, you are part of the pulp mill's operations management Work closely with the Production Technician Cooking and Washing, as well as with operators and maintenance Conduct process troubleshooting and propose improvement measures Who are you? As a person, you are analytical, structured, and collaboration-oriented. You are driven by improvement work and have an ability to develop people, processes, and technology. You are curious and eager to learn, and you dare to take responsibility and challenge to improve. It is also important to have a strong focus on safety and work actively to minimize risks. Your knowledge and experience You have a high school diploma with a technical focus and experience working in the pulp industry. It is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in the pulp industry or other education/experience that can be considered equivalent. If you have previous leadership experience—both from work or leisure—that is a merit. You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English, you have good computer skills, for example process control systems, SAP, and Microsoft 365. A class B driver's license is a requirement for our positions. Other information Working hours are daytime hours and the position is full-time with employment according to agreement.
