Production Engineer Smurfit Westrock's quality and process development department is seeking a production engineer with chemical expertise. As a production engineer, you will work with the company's chemical handling procedures. You will be part of the chemical group and conduct projects and training initiatives for employees. You will work across departmental boundaries and have contact with various roles inside and outside the company to coordinate and monitor current chemical legislation. You will also conduct investigations, prepare, and assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and deviation management. The department is also responsible for coordinating and planning internal and external audits for the management systems ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001, where you will have a key role. We are looking for someone who has: At least 3 years of higher education in chemistry. To succeed in this role, we believe you are self-driven and well-organized. You have the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks, are curious, and want to develop in new areas. It is advantageous if you have a few years of relevant work experience and some experience in production or process industry, preferably in pulp/paper technology. You may have experience working with ISO management systems and chemical legislation. Since we are an international group, you need good knowledge of Swedish and English. As a person, you are communicative and enjoy collaboration. You are driven by achieving set goals, are proactive and flexible with change, and take independent responsibility for solving tasks.
