We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher interested in synthesizing and evaluating how physical activity can improve the health and welfare of sport and companion animals, as well as what emerging technology and education are needed for good veterinary care. You will join an international and multidisciplinary research group within veterinary medicine rehabilitation. About the Position Physical activity can contribute to, but also threaten, health and welfare depending on how it is organized. The multidisciplinary project offers a unique opportunity to explore fundamental questions about physical activity for sport and companion animals, in order to provide future recommendations for a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, the project provides an opportunity to study education in pain assessment and investigate what technology is relevant for future veterinary care. As a postdoctoral researcher in the project, you will conduct analyses of published data or through data collection in collaboration with experts from other European countries. Your Background We are seeking a motivated researcher with a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine or a related field. The candidate may have previous experience with statistical tools and methods for analyzing published research data, such as meta-analyses or systematic literature reviews, as well as strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
