We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher interested in compiling and evaluating how physical activity can improve the health and welfare of sport and companion animals, and what emerging technology and education are needed for good veterinary care. You will be part of an international and interdisciplinary research group within veterinary medicine rehabilitation. About the Position Physical activity can contribute to, but also threaten, health and welfare depending on how it is organized. The interdisciplinary project offers a unique opportunity to explore fundamental questions about physical activity for sport and companion animals in order to provide future recommendations for a healthy life. Additionally, the project provides an opportunity to study pain assessment education and investigate what technology is relevant for future veterinary care. As a postdoctoral researcher in the project, you will conduct analyses of published data or through data collection in collaboration with experts from other European countries. Your Background We are seeking a motivated researcher with a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine or a closely related field. The candidate may have previous experience with statistical tools and methods for analyzing published research data, such as meta-analyses or systematic literature reviews, as well as strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
