Your Workplace As a pool chef, you are an important resource in the municipality's meal services. You work at several of our kitchens within preschools, schools, and elder care, and support operations during absences, peak times, and other staffing needs. No two days are alike. You get the opportunity to get to know many workplaces, meet different colleagues, and use all of your professional expertise in varying environments. Your Responsibilities The work involves preparing and serving nutritious and delicious meals, handling special diets, working with self-inspection and food safety, and contributing to smooth operations regardless of which unit you work at on any given day. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - Education from a Hotel and Restaurant program or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent - Good knowledge of cooking and food handling - Good experience with special diets and self-inspection - Class B driver's license and access to your own car Meritorious It is meritorious if you: Have experience working in Mashie or other meal planning software Who Are You?
