The Culture and Community Development Department has a broad scope of operations, with many important functions in the municipality, including planning, building permits, GIS mapping and measurement, libraries, culture school, civic associations, events, facility management, and outdoor environments. Örkelljunga Municipality places great emphasis on ensuring that municipal planning strengthens sustainable community development. We are now seeking a plan architect for the community development unit. In your role as a plan architect, you will be a central figure in shaping the municipality's future in collaboration with colleagues, management, and other stakeholders. At Örkelljunga Municipality, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of tasks related to physical planning. DUTIES Your responsibilities include both detailed planning and comprehensive planning, as well as housing supply issues, overall traffic planning, and more. You are responsible for preparing detailed plans, both municipally and privately initiated, where you drive processes from idea to adoption. The work also includes procurement and project management of consultants in cases where the planning work is conducted externally. You are responsible for the entire planning process including administration and conduct regular alignments with colleagues, management, and political level. An important part of your position is also comprehensive planning, where you are responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reviewing the validity of the comprehensive plan in accordance with the Planning and Building Act. You prepare documentation and make assessments of the extent to which the comprehensive plan provides guidance for land and water use, development and preservation of the built environment, and how it addresses national interests and environmental quality standards. Based on these analyses, you contribute to identifying the need for revisions, additions, or changes to the existing comprehensive plan. This means you work strategically to develop and update the plan so that it remains current and relevant based on new knowledge, changed conditions, and state or regional documentation. The work takes place in close collaboration with politicians, colleagues, authorities, business, and the public. You are responsible for dialogue, consultation, and communication related to both detailed planning and comprehensive planning. You also function as an advisor to the public and can clearly and pedagogically explain planning provisions, legislation, and issues related to, for example, cultural heritage, design, and shore protection. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a degree in architecture, physical planning, landscape architecture, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have at least three years of experience working with detailed planning and good experience and knowledge of comprehensive planning, including work related to the validity and development of comprehensive plans. You are well versed in the Planning and Building Act and other relevant legislation and have the ability to independently drive planning processes. We would like to see that you have experience analyzing planning documentation, making strategic assessments, and working with long-term development issues in a politically governed organization. As a person, you are goal and results-oriented, structured, and have a strategic holistic perspective. You work independently, take responsibility for driving processes forward, and have excellent collaboration skills. The role places high demands on communication skills – you express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and can adapt your communication to different audiences. You have good computer skills related to, among other things, case management and physical planning. Experience with Geosecma for ArcGIS and the Adobe package is meritorious. Driver's license (Class B) is required. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
