Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to people who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your work tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to a smooth daily routine. About the Position The role of personal assistant demands a strong ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. Our client is a social and cheerful 33-year-old woman who has a good sense of humor, autism, and a moderate intellectual disability. She appreciates assistants who are fun and playful! Her interests include shopping, having coffee at a café or in nature, visiting playgrounds, playing games, taking walks, jumping at Yoump trampoline park, or engaging in other everyday activities that are enjoyable. The assistants currently working for our client have all worked together for many years and form a wonderful work group with great care for each other and the client. As an assistant, you become part of a secure group that is flexible and supports one another. We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria: wants to work with a 33-year-old woman living in Helsingborg has experience working with people with autism has experience working with low-affective communication approaches has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written has good physical fitness can work 24-hour shifts is a non-smoker It is also a merit if you: have experience in similar work within care/health services have experience and knowledge of TAKK and TEACCH have a B-class driver's license Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Our client would prefer female applicants, but all applications will be considered. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary: The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed with varying hours during day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are 11:00–11:00 with 8 hours on-call during the night. There will also be an opportunity to work more during summer/fall during regular staff's vacation/absence.
