The Support, Services and Housing operations serve people within the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and social psychiatry. Our operational goals are to provide good conditions for our users to live an independent, meaningful, and active life in community with others. Placement: Personal assistant on behalf of the user, with placement in a private home. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS The user is a 4-year-old girl living in Sölvesborg. The user has medical care needs. She uses a wheelchair and requires extensive help with most daily activities such as hygiene, meals, getting dressed, and activities. As a personal assistant, your task is to strengthen the user's ability to live an independent and secure life. To support, help, and guide the person in daily life through routines, support with everyday situations, planning various activities, and contributing to a stimulating leisure life. • You shall be able to provide individual support and medical care in the home. • You shall develop and maintain abilities and communication with consideration for the functional disability. • You shall support the user's participation at different levels: individual, group, and societal. • You shall support the user's self-determination and personal integrity. • You shall be responsible for social documentation according to applicable guidelines. • You shall perform medical tasks on delegation from a nurse. • We work based on clarity, where the alternative communication method AAC is central. The position involves day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will receive a longer introduction to get to know and build a relationship with the user before you start working independently. Start date by agreement. Full-time with the possibility of a lower degree of employment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has completed an approved care and welfare program or is a trained nursing assistant. It is an advantage if you have studied a disability support specialization. You have experience working with people with functional disabilities, good knowledge of care work and clarity-based pedagogy. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with alternative communication (AAC), can interpret body language, facial expressions and sounds, and can communicate through pictures, symbols, and objects. You need to be able to handle users with challenging behavior and work with a low-affect approach. You must be responsible and confident in yourself and able to work in collaboration with others. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and can quickly adjust your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in change. You are a person with good collaboration skills, are flexible, have great patience, and can make independent decisions since the work involves working alone. Documentation and communication are important parts of daily work, and you therefore need good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speaking and writing. If you lack an approved grade in Swedish at upper secondary level, a language test will be used to ensure competence. The recruiting manager may assess that a language test should be used even if you have an approved grade. As someone applying to us, you have a B-class driver's license so you can easily get around within Sölvesborg Municipality when needed. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
