About the Workplace Furuboda Assistans is a private assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the nonprofit organization Föreningen Furuboda. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing business. Currently, Furuboda Assistans consists of approximately 700 employees. We strive to be a model for sustainable business practices. We are now seeking a dedicated team of personal assistants for one of our clients – a lively 16-year-old girl with great humor and joy for life. As this is a new assignment, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of building a safe and structured daily routine for the client from the start. About the Assignment The client is a teenage girl living with her family in Vallåkra. She has been granted 24-hour assistance, with the exception of school hours on weekdays 08:00–14:00. We are now seeking hourly substitutes with shifts scheduled during summer break 7:30-7:30. When the client returns to school in the fall, shifts will be 14:30-7:30, starting when she is picked up by school transportation in the morning. Communication occurs primarily through signs and pictures, which requires that you as an assistant are attentive and observant. The client greatly needs clear routines to make her daily life feel safe and predictable. Your Responsibilities Your focus is to provide professional support. This includes assistance with personal hygiene, meals, and daily tasks, but most importantly, enabling an active and meaningful leisure time. Two of the client's major interests are singing and swimming, which means visits to the swimming pool are a regular and appreciated activity. Qualifications To succeed in this role, the following are required: Experience with or interest in TAKK: It is highly beneficial if you have experience with TAKK and picture support. With the right personality, we can offer training, but you must have a genuine interest in learning the client's way of communicating. Driver's License (Category B): To be able to transport the client to activities and to easily get to the workplace at the client's home. Good swimming ability: Since swimming is a central activity, you must be comfortable in water and able to physically support the client in the pool. Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is confident, punctual, and highly organized. You have a good sense of humor and are not afraid to be yourself – perhaps by joining in a song!
