About the Position Personal assistance is a service provided under LSS (The Act Concerning Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. Our client is a 28-year-old happy and energetic young woman with intellectual disabilities. The client communicates using TAKK (signs as support) and pictures, and has many of her communication programs on her iPad as well as visual schedules posted on the wall. She needs help and support with all daily situations. The client enjoys listening to music, dancing, exercising, swimming in the pool, horseback riding, and spending time with friends doing various activities such as bowling and Jumpyard. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant requires a strong ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. For you to thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. In your work as a personal assistant, it is beneficial if you enjoy exercising, dancing, and being physically active. You are not afraid of horses and have no problem swimming in a pool. It is important that you have a technical interest and find it easy to use apps. You are a happy and resourceful young woman who is secure and mature as a person, and living in or near Helsingborg or Mörarp. You need to have great patience, be responsible, and enjoy taking care of other people. Be happy, social, and have a positive outlook on life. Be able to or interested in learning TAKK and low-stimulus interaction. Personal chemistry between you and our client is crucial for this position, which is why we encourage even those without previous experience as a personal assistant to apply. Requirements for the Position: B-class driver's license (and several years of driving experience) and access to your own car good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written no pet allergies and no fear of horses good physical fitness non-smoker Meritorious for the Position: experience from similar work experience with TAKK and low-stimulus interaction familiarity with physical activities such as exercise and dance Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. The client would prefer female applicants but all applications will be considered. Working Hours, Employment Type, and Salary: The current employment form is "part-time hourly employment," which means work as needed with varying hours during daytime, evening, and nighttime on weekends. Nights consist of 9.5 hours on-call time. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation in accordance with the collective agreement. Start date: Immediately or by agreement.
