We are looking for a dedicated, confident, and responsible personal assistant for a 25-year-old woman with Down syndrome, autism, and intellectual disability. As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of her daily life and support her in living an independent, secure, and meaningful life based on her own circumstances, needs, and wishes. Job Responsibilities In your role as a personal assistant, you will, among other things: - Provide support with personal care and hygiene. - Assist with dressing and undressing as well as daily routines. - Support during meals, cooking, and other everyday tasks. - Motivate and encourage participation and independence in daily life. - Provide support in communication through clear and adapted interaction. - Accompany her to leisure activities and social activities. - Support during walks, exercise, and other activities. - Contribute to structure, routines, and predictability in daily life. - Be attentive to health, well-being, and any changing needs. - Document according to operational procedures and collaborate with relevant people regarding the individual. Desirable Qualifications - Experience working as a personal assistant. - Experience working in LSS activities. - Knowledge of autism and intellectual disability. - Experience with alternative and augmentative communication, for example TAKK. - Experience with low-arousal approaches.
