We are now seeking a personal assistant for an 11-year-old boy outside Vollsjö. Since there is limited access to public transportation, you will need to have access to your own car. Employment Type: Part-time. By agreement/extra as needed. Primarily weekends and school breaks, approximately 4 hours per occasion to start. You don't need extensive experience, although it is advantageous – what is most important is that you are attentive, have the right attitude, commitment, and the desire to work long-term, as well as having good personal chemistry with the person you'll be assisting. As an assistant, you will help with daily tasks and assist with hygiene and care. You need to be calm, flexible, positive, and adaptable to another person's needs. You will play a central role in his daily life. You will support him in his everyday activities and help him have the opportunity to live an active and meaningful life. It is also important that you are attentive and adapt when he needs to take it easy when his energy runs out. Our client very much enjoys cooking, baking, swimming, taking walks, going on outings, etc. He lives on a farm with his parents. He has an intellectual disability, uses a wheelchair, and has limited energy. The client has a dog, so you cannot be allergic to pet hair. As a personal assistant, you will help with, for example: Everything in daily life such as: • Personal hygiene • Help with eating and cooking • Transfers (the boy uses a wheelchair, walker, and standing frame, among others, and there are lifting aids available) • Support with structuring and organizing • Social support, often in situations that arise in interaction with other people • Support for a meaningful life Requirements: - Be positive and proactive - Get things done and be self-directed and responsible - Speak fluent Swedish - Be calm and attentive - Not work when showing signs of illness, as the client is susceptible to infection - Driver's license and own car as there is no public transportation - Non-smoker Meritorious: - Advantage to have experience in care work or similar - Experience caring for children - Experience communicating with sign language/support pictures/communication iPad - Experience with various aids such as walkers, standing frames If you want to make a real difference in another person's life, we look forward to your application!
