We are now looking for you to work as a Personal Assistant to users with extensive functional limitations and challenging behavior. Here you will have the opportunity to work with one of the most valuable assignments that exists – to create security and stability in everyday life for two young adults with significant support needs. Your Assignment In your role as a personal assistant, you help the user with what they need support with for their daily life. The assignments can look different depending on the user's needs; it can be anything from personal hygiene and delegated medication administration to being a support in various everyday situations. Respect, empathy, and commitment are guiding principles in our operations. This is an assignment for you who has solid experience and a genuine interest in working with people with complex needs. We are looking for personal assistants who will be part of a team working varied hours with two users. The users have intellectual disabilities and challenging behavior. In the challenging behavior, you may encounter serious self-harming behavior on a daily basis. You will work according to clear structures, provide support in communication and methods for preventing and managing challenging behavior. The work involves you, together with your client and colleagues, providing individually tailored support in everyday life. This can range from personal care to activities based on the user's interests, as well as managing acute emotional outbursts with low-arousal approaches and secure presence. We are looking for you who: - Have extensive experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behavior - Have previously worked with self-harming behavior and/or emotional problems - Experience providing communication support such as AAC - Master Swedish in speech and writing Meritorious: - Experience working with clarifying pedagogy, AAC, and low-arousal approaches - Experience with LSS and working with adults with extensive support needs - Knowledge of autism, developmental disabilities, and psychiatric comorbidities As a person you are: Calm and clear in your approach. Responsible and attentive. Creative in finding solutions and planning meaningful activities within secure frameworks. You are patient, persistent, and stress-resilient.
