Do you want the children in the out-of-school care program to look forward to the next time their parents work evenings or weekends? We are now recruiting someone who wants to lead the development of an active and stimulating program. The out-of-school care program serves children ages 1-12 years (until spring semester of the year the child turns 13). The program is located at the Tjambo preschool in Malå. The out-of-school care program is now seeking 1 pedagogical staff member at 100%. The position is permanent (with possible probation). The program's mission is to provide childcare during times when our preschools and after-school programs are closed. Care is provided in a safe environment where activities are adapted to the children's age, interests, and needs. Job Duties As a pedagogical staff member, you have an important role where you provide children with security and a stimulating experience. Contact and cooperation with parents is an important part of the work. On weekday evenings, the focus is on winding down after an active day. Children can, for example, choose to read a book, draw, play games, watch children's programs, or help staff prepare dinner. The program also offers overnight care. On weekends, there are many opportunities for activities based on your expertise. Your task is to initiate, plan, and carry out activities within areas such as culture, nature, health, and creativity. This could include outings, sports activities, creative work, cultural experiences, and more. Qualifications You have experience working with children and young people and are flexible, driven, engaged, and self-directed. Your approach and demeanor are your most important work tools. The position involves varying work hours; you will work days, weekends, evenings, and nights. When you have a day shift, you work at the preschool, school, and after-school educational program and will be part of the "pool." Flexibility is a must. The out-of-school care program's staff schedule is created based on the number of children, four weeks at a time, and staffing is adjusted according to the number of children.
