Saab Dynamics is now looking for a driven and committed Area Manager in production who wants to help build an entirely new division within the Precision Fires operation. You will step into a unique position where the business is under development, giving you a central role in shaping the organization, work methods, and culture from the ground up. Since the area is under establishment, the role will initially have a clear project character, where you will have a central and strategically important position in shaping future production. The role will initially involve a strong focus on building and establishing the operation, with the goal of developing and leading the organization that emerges over time. Your Role You will have overall responsibility for building, leading, and further developing the operation. The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility, where you work with everything from resource planning and production development to coordination between different functions and business areas. Your main areas of responsibility include: Lead and develop production and ensure appropriate capacity and resource allocation Build organization, structures, and efficient work methods in an operation under establishment Create conditions for effective workflows and production processes Ensure delivery capability in line with business and customer requirements Coordinate different functions and units toward common goals Drive improvement and change work in close collaboration with the operation Contribute to long-term strategy and development within Precision Fires Production You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and serve as an important link between production, business, and strategy. The position is based in Karlskoga, but regular travel to Linköping in particular will be a natural part of the role, as parts of the operation are located there. Your Profile We are looking for a confident and engaging leader with a strong ability to create structure and momentum in complex environments. You have experience leading complex operations and are comfortable in an environment where change and development are a natural part of everyday work. You have experience leading operations in transition, preferably with management responsibility for managers, and are comfortable navigating situations where not all prerequisites are yet in place. To succeed in the role, we see that you: Have solid leadership experience from production or related operations Have good technical understanding and can grasp complex processes Have experience with change and development work Are business-minded and have a holistic perspective on operations and delivery Are decisive, structured, and results-oriented As a person, you are: Communicative and relationship-building Inclusive and unpretentious Clear in your leadership with the ability to engage and motivate You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance.
