As an Objects Specialist, you are part of the team responsible for the Competence Portal, which requires a holistic perspective based on the system's and region's best interests. About Us Region Sörmland operates a varied and extensive range of activities with several socially important functions. Our largest operational area is healthcare, and the region also manages dentistry, culture and education, as well as public transportation and regional development. Supporting these various operational areas are several staff functions including finance, HR, procurement, IT and contracting, as well as legal services. The HR Staff is part of the Regional Director's office and is led by the HR Director. The HR Staff has overall responsibility for the region's HR processes and is organized into units: management support for regional operations, management support for healthcare, occupational environment and competence development, and recruitment and labor market. Together, we work to ensure that the region's operations receive professional HR support. The Objects Specialist position is located within the Occupational Environment & Competence Development unit, and the position can be based in Nyköping or Eskilstuna. Your Responsibilities As an Objects Specialist with us, you are offered an important, enjoyable, and challenging assignment in a dynamic and development-oriented organization. In this role, you are responsible for operations, support, development, and coordination of the region's competence development system. You work both operationally and strategically, serving as a bridge between operations and technology. As an Objects Specialist, you help ensure that IT support functions effectively, prioritize measures and initiatives, identify improvement needs, support users with expert knowledge, and serve as a contact person for questions in this area. In this role, you need to have an interest in driving improvement and development work, knowledge of how an organization functions (organizational structure) and how to reflect that in the system. Experience with "backend" work on systems, the ability to make changes in IT systems, and an understanding of how and where those changes take effect and what is impacted. A significant part of your role consists of user support, which includes training sessions, digital meetings, email support, and ongoing work with user manuals. Beyond work on the Competence Portal, there may be other administrative tasks. If you desire a job with exciting and varied responsibilities, we welcome you! Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with: • Relevant university education/post-secondary education in IT or other education that the employer deems equivalent. • Experience working in IT systems with support and development. • Experience working with LMS systems is a plus. • Experience working in a politically governed organization, preferably municipal or regional operations, is considered a plus. • Driver's license B is desired as we travel within the region. As a person, you are self-directed, have personal maturity, good communication skills, good collaboration skills, and are flexible and strategic. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
