We are looking for you who want to work #nowhiring as a personal assistant for a 44-year-old woman in Lund. You will work from Anna's home in northern Lund. In this job, you are Anna's support wherever she is and whatever help she needs. Who is Anna? Anna has had developmental disabilities since birth. She enjoys listening to music, loves spending time in nature, and enjoys being read to. Anna does not communicate through speech but only through emotional expressions. Anna lives at home with her parents in a villa. What does the job involve? Anna needs help with all personal hygiene, feeding, and other care. She stands and walks with assistance indoors but sometimes uses a wheelchair outside. She is usually at home but tries to get out for an activity outside the home once a day. This often involves walks or sometimes physical therapy. Anna also has certain medical conditions. For example, the job includes administering medication and providing certain treatments. How is the work structured? As Anna's assistant, you are part of a small team with several people who have worked with Anna for many years. During your first week, you work alongside other assistants and learn what you need to know. After that, you work alone with Anna, but you have the opportunity to contact other experienced assistants and a nurse if needed. The entire team meets once a month for coffee, discussion, schedule planning, and sometimes brief training. There are also opportunities for additional professional development on the job. The team has ongoing supervision/meetings with a licensed psychotherapist. Terms of Employment We offer flexible scheduling, with schedules arranged at staff meetings according to assistants' preferences as much as possible. Anna has 24-hour assistant coverage, which means you can choose day work, night work, or a combination. We offer positions ranging from 25-100%, according to your preference. Hourly wage with shift allowance. Since schedules are arranged as needed, you can work more hours in some months and fewer in others if desired. You work in a small and calm work environment. Anna lives in northern Lund, close to a bus stop. Wellness benefits are included. The position includes occupational pension according to agreement with FORA. Who are you? Personal suitability is important to get this job. You must work well with Anna. It is important that you are empathetic, flexible, resourceful, and can inspire and motivate her. To do this requires both patience and initiative. It is important that you have sufficiently good Swedish to understand instructions regarding medication, etc., both verbally and in writing. The job involves lifting Anna when needed. We welcome applicants from all age groups as Anna enjoys having different people around her. If you have education/experience working in healthcare, it is an asset but not a requirement. Working with Anna does not require you to have a driver's license. As an applicant for this position, you must be a non-smoker and cannot have pets at home due to Anna's allergies.
