The Education Administration is responsible for preschools, primary schools, after-school programs, upper secondary school, adult education, and child and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, together creating a safe and developing school and childcare system. About the School: Norreportskolan is a large and well-organized upper secondary school located in central Ystad. The school has approximately 520 students and around 65 employees with various professional roles. School leadership, teachers, student assistants, student coordinators, school caretaker, administrative staff, resources, special education teachers, special educators, mother-tongue teachers, counselor, school nurse, and study and career guidance counselor work together here for the students' benefit. The school is fully equipped with appropriate teaching facilities for all subjects, with the exception of a swimming pool. Thanks to the school's central location, we also have easy access to forests, sea, parks, and the municipality's rich cultural offerings. Students are organized into three teams/work groups that follow their student cohorts throughout upper secondary school. Each team consists of 15–20 employees, most of whom represent various subjects. Each work group has a special education teacher, special educator, and student coordinator attached to it. Within each team there is also a smaller teaching group. School leadership consists of a principal and assistant principal. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Would you like to make a difference in students' everyday lives? Are you a pedagogue with excellent relationship-building skills who also has a passion for Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language and German? Then you might be who we're looking for! Mentoring is part of the role—you share mentorship of a class with another teacher and take special responsibility for approximately 13 students you mentor, maintaining good communication with their guardians. You will teach students in Grade 8 Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language, and Grades 6–8 German. You participate in the school's quality work and collaborate within your team and with your subject colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a qualified and engaged teacher in Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language, and German. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with upper secondary students and have mentoring experience. You have teacher certification in Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language and German for Grades 7–9. You are clear, structured, and engaged in your classroom leadership. You have a strong ability to build relationships with students and colleagues. You want to inspire students to read, write, and develop their language skills. We place great emphasis on relationship-building both in the classroom and in mentoring. We believe that good relationships between students and teachers are key to successful learning. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Start date: August 11, 2026. Work hours: Daytime.
