The Agricultural Schools at Axevalla Equestrian Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational University function as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. About the School Naturbruksskolan Svenljunga is located on the outskirts of Svenljunga with proximity to nature, forest, and land, and at the same time only about 30 kilometers from Borås. Here we educate tomorrow's workforce in two expanding industries – forestry and nature tourism. The school offers the Agricultural Program at upper secondary level, vocational higher education, and adult education. We are a well-resourced school with just over one hundred fifty upper secondary students, with dedicated staff, short decision-making processes, and great opportunities to make an impact. Naturbruksskolan Svenljunga is a smaller school with appropriately sized classes and room for developing teaching. We are also part of the Agricultural Administration where the Agricultural Schools at Uddetorp, Sötåsen, and Axevalla Equestrian Center are included, so there are colleagues throughout the Västra Götaland Region to collaborate with, and twice a year we all gather for joint administration days. We also have leave accrual, which means we have a 40-hour work week with a flexible time agreement. Your Assignment You will teach biology and possibly another subject depending on your subject combination. As a teacher with us, you are part of a teaching team where you plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching in close collaboration with colleagues. Documentation of student progress in our learning platform and other shared work tasks are part of daily work. You actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development and to a safe and academically motivating environment for our students. We Are Looking for You Who: Have an easy time adapting based on different conditions depending on the students' needs. You are clear and ensure that what you want to convey gets across and that students know what is expected of them. You plan and organize your own work and have an easy time prioritizing your work tasks to deliver on time. You work well with others. To Succeed in This Role You Need: Be a certified upper secondary teacher in biology and another subject. It is important that you have good pedagogical ability and understanding of people's different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge. You have good digital competence and use IT as a natural tool in your work. Requirement for B-class driver's license (manual transmission). Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
