Description Bromstensskolan is a grades F-6 school located in Västerort within Stockholm municipality. The school is a municipal primary school with approximately 500 students. Beautifully situated on a hill in a pleasant residential area. The older sections date back to the early 1900s and the newer sections were built in the 1990s. The school has a large and welcoming schoolyard with, among other things, a soccer field with plenty of running spaces. Approximately 75 people work at the school, most of them educators. We also have most of the professional categories typically found at a primary school. School leadership currently consists of a principal and two assistant principals as well as an administrative manager. Our four lead teachers are responsible for developing teaching at the school together with school leadership and educators. We welcome new staff with different experiences who, together with our already skilled educators, want to develop Bromstensskolan. Almost half of our students have a cultural background other than Swedish, so we have many enriching connections to the rest of the world. We see our diversity as a strength and try to take advantage of what we can learn from different cultures. Our ambitions are high and we have strong positive development at the school. Our goal is to create a school where we help students develop their full potential. Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Is a certified teacher for grades 1-6 with a music specialization Has current work experience and several years of experience teaching music Has experience with formative assessment You are secure and stable in your professional role and have good self-awareness. You should find collaboration easy and see it as a matter of course, while also being driven and self-reliant. This means you take responsibility and plan and conduct your teaching. You have clear leadership and involve students in both your teaching and planning. You have good pedagogical insight and understand that people acquire knowledge in different ways. You can make quick decisions and exercise sound judgment even under time pressure. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities for this position. We warmly welcome your application!
