We offer 12 national upper secondary programs, introduction programs, and adapted upper secondary school. Additionally, we also run adult education courses at Allévux. We have a total of approximately 1,800 students, of which 1,300 attend Alléskolan and 500 attend Allévux. We are around 300 employees, and in daily operations there is support available in the form of functions such as administration, HR, finance, and IT. JOB DUTIES We are seeking a music teacher for Alléskolan's adapted upper secondary school in Hallsberg for the fall. The position is a part-time employment at 20% during the 2026/27 school year. You will teach students in both national and individual programs. The schedule can be partially adapted according to your preferences. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: • Teaching certification with authorization to teach music. • Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. • Good knowledge of the curriculum and educational mission for adapted upper secondary school, or alternatively a willingness to familiarize yourself with this. Meritorious: • Special education teacher degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities, or such education already in progress. • Experience teaching students in adapted schools or working with students with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, or neuropsychiatric disabilities. • Experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-affect interaction, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), such as sign language support. • Experience adapting music instruction – instrument, singing, rhythm, ensemble, and music creation – based on each student's abilities and needs. • Knowledge of and experience with digital tools, both as pedagogical support and for documentation. Personal qualities: • You are calm, attentive, and flexible, and you meet each student with patience and high expectations based on the student's own abilities. • You see music as a path to participation, communication, and personal development, not merely as a subject. • You value close collaboration within the work team, including with teaching assistants, and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
