Fristadsskolan is a middle school located in central Eskilstuna with approximately 470 students and 60 employees. The school is newly renovated and we have fresh, modern facilities. Quality instruction is our focus. Our skilled full-time mentors work with student social matters and contribute to our efforts in safety and study environment. Our structures for collegial collaboration are well-established with scheduled subject time each week, and there is a culture at the school of doing things together and helping one another. Starting this fall, we will be eliminating our local agreement and returning to working 35+10. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a substitute teacher, you will instruct in your subject, music. You plan, conduct, and follow up on your instruction according to the Lgr22 curriculum. You create inspiring learning environments where students can explore and develop their knowledge in the subject. You follow each student's individual development and learning. For us, it is important that every student receives support, encouragement, and conditions to develop in a joyful, challenging, and learning-focused environment. You will become part of a team with professional and engaged educators. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking you with a teaching degree and teacher certification with authorization to teach music, grades 7-9. Alternatively, you have ongoing studies that will be completed shortly. It is meritorious if you have previous experience teaching in educational activities, from work or practicum. We also view positively that you have experience teaching according to the current curriculum. The position requires that you have very good skills in Swedish in speech and writing, and that you feel comfortable using IT as part of your instruction. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see that you are a leader who can adapt your leadership situationally in the classroom. You are an engaged employee with good collaborative skills. You can build trust and listen to different needs, and have an easy time communicating with both young people and adults.
