Your Role with Us You will be responsible for teaching music at the primary and middle school levels, and partially at the upper secondary level. In this position, you will work closely with another music teacher for collegial exchange and planning. The music teachers at Fjälkinge School are involved and are an important piece of the puzzle in celebrating all school holidays, which are highly appreciated highlights in the school day. Music has its own classroom and we teach music in half-classes to enable more practical activities in the subject. The position includes shared mentorship of a middle school class. You will be part of a welcoming middle school team where we work to ensure that all students are our students. As a teacher with us, you get to help shape the future. Together with your colleagues, you create conditions and inspire students to become their best selves. You will actively contribute to higher goal achievement at the school regarding both knowledge and democratic responsibilities. Together we create a school that is equitable and inclusive. Your position includes mentorship, planning, teaching, documentation, and assessment. You develop educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents together with your colleagues and management. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a good working environment where you strengthen each student in both knowledge development and personal development. If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an uncertified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading is held by a certified teacher. Who Are We Looking For? We are primarily looking for you with a teacher certification with the authority to conduct teaching, preferably in grades 3-9 in music and another subject in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at university level in the above subject. It is advantageous if you have pedagogical education at university level. We would appreciate it if you have experience working as a primary school teacher or have experience conducting teaching or working with children in grades 3-9. We would like you to have good ability to teach children with special needs and the ability to support students in managing conflicts that arise. You have the ability to adapt your teaching based on each student's circumstances, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a focused work environment, and a desire to learn. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the wider environment. A success factor is that you can build trusting relationships both within and outside the school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and your work team's approach for continuous development. Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals. As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and well-grounded, and you uphold the professional ethical principles for teachers and have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge. For us to evaluate your application, you must attach your diploma and teacher certification. If no qualified certified teachers are found, you who are uncertified may be employed on a fixed-term basis according to the School Act. When we offer you the position, we require you to provide an excerpt from the police criminal record register so that we can employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the School Act.
