Your responsibilities As a music teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating music instruction for students in grades 1-6 of primary school. You will work closely with colleagues and students to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. You contribute to students developing their knowledge and skills in music. The assignment includes teaching students to actively listen to different types of music, distinguish between instruments and instrument groups, and develop musical skills through ensemble playing with others. As a music teacher, you also train students in theoretical knowledge that is applied in practical playing and reflection. An important part of working as a music teacher is teaching students to reason about music's function and significance in different historical and cultural contexts. The position includes collaboration with responsible classroom teachers, student support teams, and guardians to support each student in reaching their full potential based on their circumstances. Active participation in other meetings for collegial cooperation and playground supervision is also part of the position. About you We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher for grades 1-6. We would appreciate it if you have previous experience working with instruction in primary school. To succeed in this role, we see that you have the ability to create good relationships with others by being attentive, showing empathy, and respect. You should be able to motivate others and give them the authority to provide advice, support, and opportunities for development. We see that you adapt easily to changed circumstances. You also have good understanding of individuals' different circumstances and how people acquire knowledge. About the position The position is a temporary contract for the 2026/2027 school year with 60% hours and the possibility of a permanent position. Start date August 10, 2026 through June 10, 2027.
