The Learning and Culture Administration in Nybro Municipality operates preschools, preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary school, school childcare, upper secondary school, and municipal adult education including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and special education for adults. Within the administration, education in glasscraft is provided through the National Glass School in Pukeberg as well as commissioned education and vocational higher education programs. The Learning and Culture Administration is also responsible for libraries, culture school, cultural center with cinema, youth center activities, and general cultural matters. DUTIES You will work both independently and in teams. You are expected to participate in our various pedagogical meetings and professional development meetings according to your employment level. Study guidance in the mother tongue for other subjects will occur. The work takes place at different schools in the municipality, which means you will move between locations during the workday. The position also includes extensive contact with guardians, attendance reporting, lesson planning, etc. We are looking for someone who is engaged, interested in language development, and goal-oriented. We place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate and communicate with students, colleagues, and guardians, as well as your ability to independently conduct your teaching according to governing documents. Knowledge of the curriculum for mother tongue studies, pedagogical planning, assessment descriptions, grading and evaluation is meritorious. We are looking for someone who wants to be a role model and contribute to good academic results. You are experienced in using digital learning tools that are a natural part of your practice, and in collaborating with other educators/teachers on planning and delivering instruction in accordance with the curriculum. The employment level is 5-10%, with language and student needs determining the specific percentage. In Nybro, mother tongue and study guidance are conducted as part of instruction at the schools. We are seeking mother tongue and study guide instructors in the following languages: Kurdish Tigrinya Study guide instructors in the following languages: Swahili Uzbek Thai Vietnamese QUALIFICATIONS You have excellent knowledge of the mother tongue and culture and traditions in areas/countries where the mother tongue is spoken. We require good knowledge of the Swedish language and insight into Swedish culture and tradition. You have higher education and experience teaching. You also have documented experience working with mother tongue instruction in preschool/primary school and upper secondary school. You have a clear pedagogical approach to how you can support the development of each student based on curriculum intentions and governing documents.
