As a native language teacher and study counselor, you work with teaching and support from preschool all the way to upper secondary school. You meet groups of students where there is variation in both knowledge and age. You have both study counseling in the student's native language in the school's various subjects and native language instruction. Teaching takes place at primary schools and upper secondary schools in Timrå. You should be able to motivate and inspire students. You actively work for student development, so that they reach knowledge goals. You provide your students with context throughout the day and contribute to student integration. You are skilled at creating good relationships with both students, guardians, and school staff. You should be well familiar with the school's governing documents and current curricula. You use digital tools and pedagogical methods in your teaching. You participate in work groups where you work together with your colleagues to develop and adapt your teaching to students' needs. Responsibilities Study Counselor/Native Language Teacher Qualifications We are looking for someone who can provide native language instruction and study counseling in Ukrainian and Russian. We would like you to have pedagogical experience and have worked as a native language teacher/study counselor before, or have relevant education for the position. The work requires that you are flexible, responsive, have good collaboration skills, and that you can work independently. Terms The position is a temporary assignment at 50%. Time-limited during the fall term 2026 with possible extension. Recruitment is ongoing.
