We are now looking for committed environmental workers with a Class C driver's license and waste management certification (YKB) who want to work a summer job at Verdis in Tomelilla. Verdis is a proud player in the waste management industry that handles the collection and transportation of various types of waste. About the jobVerdis is responsible for collecting and transporting household and food waste in Tomelilla and Simrishamn, with Österlens Kommunala Renhållnings AB (ÖKRAB) as client and partner. We now need to strengthen the department with several positive and goal-oriented environmental workers with a Class C driver's license and YKB who can work full-time throughout the summer (May through late August). As an environmental worker, you play a key role in the company. You are Verdis' face to the public and you become one of our everyday heroes who helps keep Österlen clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management operations are carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and our client's requirements. You report to the work supervisor. Your work tasks include, among other things: Collection and transportation of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment Non-conformance reporting Daily maintenance/inspection of vehicles and equipment, as well as washing them as needed Delivery of vehicles to the workshop when needed Who are you? We are looking for someone with a Class C driver's license with corresponding waste management certification (YKB) and who is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have: Professional experience as a truck driver and knowledge of heavy vehicles Previous experience with some form of waste collection Good local knowledge (Tomelilla/Simrishamn) This position is suitable for you if you thrive with dynamic work at a fast pace and have good physical fitness.
