Description As an Environment and Health Protection Inspector in Arjeplog Municipality, you will work with supervision, permits, advisory services, and information within the areas covered by the Environmental Code, primarily focusing on environmentally hazardous activities. The focus can be adapted based on your knowledge or areas of interest. Your work includes providing advice and service to our citizens and stakeholders as well as making decisions in administrative matters. We have extensive delegation from the board. The work is varied and involves both office and field work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic education in environment and health protection, or other academic education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in public authority work within the environment and health protection field is a merit. It is also meritorious to have experience with and good knowledge of current environmental legislation and its application. Work as an environment and health protection inspector involves many contacts with people. You therefore need to be confident in your role, service-oriented, and have a positive attitude toward your work and the people you meet. It is therefore important that you are comfortable in an outward-facing role and have good communication skills both verbally and in writing. You must have a commitment to your tasks and the ability to independently plan, structure, and carry out your work. An important quality is the ability to balance between public authority work and a more advisory role. For us, customer service is important to achieve good results in the long term. We place great importance on personal suitability. You have good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written. A valid driver's license (category B) is required. If you have experience with EDP Vision as a case management system, that is a plus.
