The Department of Children and Education, Östersund Municipality is seeking an engaged teacher for grades 4-6 at Vallaskolan. This is a fixed-term position for the school year 26-27 with a monthly salary. The position may transition to a permanent employment. Start date: 2026-08-11. Vallaskolan is an F-9 school on Frösön with 576 students. The school is beautifully located on Frösön with a magnificent view toward the mountain world. We enjoy working together! Your New Job Classroom teacher for a class in grades 4-6. We are seeking an elementary school teacher who wants to help develop our students in grades 4-6. You will teach multiple subjects and play a central role in the children's learning and development. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction according to the school's governing documents and with consideration for each student's individual needs and circumstances. You are expected to contribute to a positive and creative work environment where learning and collegial support are in focus. Your work will be characterized by collaboration with colleagues, working together for continuous pedagogical development and to create the best conditions for student success. Typical Work Tasks Work as a teacher in grades 4-6. Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in grades 4-6. Collaborate and develop teaching within the grades 4-6 team together with your colleagues. Participate in our systematic quality work regarding analysis of knowledge, safety, and well-being. Your Qualifications Requirements Certified teacher for grades 4-6. Good IT skills. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. Meritorious Experience working as a teacher. Previous experience working in schools. Working with digital tools in instruction is meritorious. Knowledge of the school's governing documents and ability to implement them in daily work.
