Finishing Maintenance is seeking two day-shift mechanics As a mechanic with us, you work both independently and in close collaboration with other maintenance and operations personnel in the finishing department. When needed, you also serve as an additional resource for other areas of the operation. In your role as a day-shift mechanic, the focus is primarily on preventive and planned maintenance, but emergency interventions can also occur. You participate in our 5S work and daily management, and contribute to developing routines and work methods to continuously improve work and increase operational reliability. We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical maintenance work in the manufacturing industry, preferably from the steel industry. Desirable qualifications: Mechanical maintenance of machinery Hydraulics and pneumatics Welding (arc welding, MIG/MAG) Machine processing (turning and milling) Pumps Blueprint reading The position requires a valid class B driver's license. Forklift and overhead crane certificates and Hot Work certifications are desirable. To thrive in the role, you are responsible, thorough, and take initiative. You collaborate easily and are comfortable interacting with others. Reporting is done in our maintenance system and to the maintenance manager. About the employment These positions are permanent full-time positions with day-shift hours. Start date is by agreement.
