Location: Karlskrona Start: Immediately Assignment Duration: Fixed-term assignment 6 months, with possibility of extension Scope: Full-time Work Hours: Day shift About the Machine Operator Role As a machine operator at Manpower, working on-site at our customer Saab, you will work in a heavy industrial environment where precision, safety, and technical expertise are critical. The role involves daily work rolling, bending, and straightening steel in various thicknesses - from thinner materials to heavy sheet metal up to 80 mm. You will operate both small and large machines, both older and newer, modern equipment. The work requires good machine experience, excellent ability to read and interpret drawings, and confidence working with cranes when handling large sheet metal. Examples of work tasks: Rolling sheet metal in various thicknesses, up to 80 mm Bending and straightening steel material Work with rolling machines, edge presses, edge brakes, and straightening presses Handling large sheet metal with the aid of cranes Working from technical drawings and specifications Ensuring quality and accuracy in the manufacturing process Who We're Looking For We are seeking an experienced and practical machine operator with a genuine interest in sheet metal processing. You are accustomed to physical work, thrive in an industrial environment, and have a high awareness of safety. To succeed in the role, you need to be meticulous, responsible, and confident working independently as well as in a team. Requirements for the Position Experience working with industrial machinery Valid crane certification Very good experience in reading drawings Good physical condition A clear interest in forming and processing sheet metal Meritorious Forklift certification Experience working in heavy industry or similar production environment The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security protection regulations.
