Municipal Technology and Services is divided into four units: property, streets and parks, water and sewage, and food services. We manage the municipality's land and facilities, clean municipal facilities, maintain streets and roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, forests, waste management, and utility networks. We produce drinking water and treat wastewater. Within the food services unit, we prepare meals for schools, preschools, elderly care, and home services. Municipal Technology's responsibility is to meet both residents' and other administrative departments' needs for services within water, sewage, road maintenance, park management, property maintenance, and waste management. We are now seeking a land and development engineer who wants to help create conditions for future housing, businesses, and attractive living environments. As a land and development engineer, you will have a central role in the municipality's community development work. You will work closely with politicians, colleagues, developers, property owners, and residents and will be involved in projects ranging from idea and planning to implementation. Through your work, you contribute to the municipality's long-term development and have the opportunity to influence how the future Forshaga is shaped. Work Tasks As a land and development engineer, you are responsible for the municipality's land matters and participate in developing new residential areas, business areas, and other community development projects. Your work tasks include, among others: Land acquisition, land sales, and land allocation Preparation and negotiation of agreements, such as development agreements, land transfer agreements, and easement agreements Participation in detailed planning processes and development projects Coordination between municipality, developers, consultants, and authorities Project management within land and development areas Property law matters and contacts with the Land Survey Authority Management of the municipality's land reserves and land strategy matters Preparation of decision-making materials for the board and municipal management Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education in community development, surveying, physical planning, real estate economics, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of property and land matters, good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, and a valid driver's license (Category B). It is an advantage if you have experience with land and development matters in municipal activities, property law and surveying matters, project management, contract negotiations, or work with detailed plans and other community development projects. To succeed in this role, you have an interest in community development and want to contribute to the long-term sustainable development of the municipality. You are engaged, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking responsibility for your work tasks. You have the ability to see the big picture while working in a structured and thorough manner. The role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, which requires you to be communicative, collaboration-oriented, and have a professional approach.
