Speech-Language Pathologist at Habilitation Services
Popis:
Would you like an interesting and varied position in a multiprofessional team with experienced and well-coordinated colleagues? Habilitation Services provides interventions for patients with congenital or early-acquired functional limitations that create difficulties in daily life, such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, or motor impairments. By providing advice, support, and treatment to individuals and their networks, we can prevent and reduce difficulties that functional limitations may cause. We create conditions for individuals to function at their best in their daily lives. We work in interprofessional teams based on whether the patient is a child, adolescent, or adult. The teams include occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, social workers, speech-language pathologists, physicians, nurses, special educators, and team secretaries. In addition to assessment and treatment of eating and swallowing difficulties and communication challenges, you will provide support to patients, families, and their broader networks. Your role includes investigating, introducing, and implementing alternative and/or augmentative communication. You will work both independently and with other experienced colleagues, making the work stimulating. You will also prescribe various types of assistive devices that you will follow up on, develop further, and support patients in using. The position involves varied tasks including individual patient contacts and collaborating with team members to conduct training sessions for individuals and their networks. You will also contribute to the service's development work from a speech-language pathology perspective, where research and methodological development are encouraged. As a new employee, you will receive guidance and training both within your profession and within the team based on your needs. About You You are a licensed speech-language pathologist who can work both independently and collaboratively. You have a genuine interest in supporting and working with patients in habilitation services. You are comfortable meeting patients' needs using your specialized knowledge as a speech-language pathologist. It is natural for you to collaborate with colleagues, other healthcare providers, preschools/schools, authorities, and others. You have experience working with communication, speech and language disorders, and eating and swallowing difficulties. We would appreciate experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with functional disabilities. Preferred qualifications include experience with habilitation interventions, interprofessional work, and expertise in both low and high-technology augmentative and alternative communication. Sharing colleagues' knowledge and experience while sharing your own expertise is essential to meeting our patients' goals. You are proactive, interested in development, and motivated by finding solutions from the patient's perspective. To thrive with us, you need strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to adapt your work, collaborate effectively with others, and prioritize efficiently. You have good computer skills and enjoy working with other professionals toward a common goal. You need strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and a B-class driver's license, as travel is part of the position. Personal suitability is important to us. This recruitment uses continuous selection, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. We warmly welcome your application today! Your Future Workplace With us, you will benefit from being part of a smaller team within a larger base unit. Our employees particularly appreciate the balance between independence and collaboration, which provides work variety and significant responsibility. You will have the opportunity for some remote work by agreement. We work closely together and no question is considered silly here—everyone's door is open to help. We also have the advantage that across our five teams in the base unit, someone always has experience with exactly the right expertise.
